Temperley London

I have been happily transformed back to the days of Audrey Hepburn thanks to Temperley London's absolutely stunning Resort 2013 collection!  The new pieces have everything I adore: a-line skirts, sumptuous fabrics, and a big floppy hat...  These are the kind of clothes I aspire to wear and how I dress in my dreams at night.

While the collection's aesthetic is heavily 1950s, Alice Temperley also infused a few 1920s influences here and there.  The lovely white pleated dress is so Daisy Buchanan and the black/champagne silk dress looks like it belongs more in a speakeasy than on a 2013 runway.

Whatever her exact influence, Alice Temperley completely hit it out of the park this season.  Without a doubt, this is my favorite Temperley London collection to date!

A La Fin

As has been the case for the past nine days, Diane Kruger and her tuxedo-clad boyfriend Joshua Jackson ruled the red carpet during the final two days of the Cannes Film Festival.

Diane looked simply lovely in her Jenny Packham gown with her 1950s flippy ponytail.  And her Christian Dior Couture creation?  There are only a few women in the world who can wear a gown like that and, thankfully for us, Diane is one of those women.

Such a fashionable pair, definitely the King and Queen of Cannes!

Ooh La La - Part Deux

The Cannes Film Festival fashion is really heating up as its final days draw near.  Actresses from all around the globe looked stunning at the festival's annual amfAR benefit.  Just look at Bérénice Bejo.  The The Artist actress looked radiant wearing a red Giambattista Valli gown, a lovely representation of this season's mixing prints trend.

And, of course, Diane Kruger is continuing her Cannes winning streak, with two perfectly lovely looks from Chanel and Prabal Gurung.

Can't wait to see what the final two days have in store...

And the Oscar Goes To...

It was a true color story at Oscar de la Renta's Resort 2013 fashion show, held this week in New York City.  The collection was filled with a veritable rainbow of colors, from classic black/white to stunning emerald green.  And yet, the collection felt entirely consistent, the pieces tied together with Oscar's signature accents (girly florals, black netting, and draping).

What I love most about this collection was that it was truly decadent.  While most resort collections are usually filled with relaxed beach ensembles for the Saint-Tropez set, Oscar brought the full-on glamour to New York City with looks that were designed from head-to-toe.  The cobalt blue dress with the black lace overlay was pure Ladylike Chic and pure Oscar.

Ooh La La

Diane Kruger in Nina Ricci

Diane Kruger in Vivienne Westwood

They are absolutely going to need to rename this year's Cannes Film Festival to The Diane Kruger Show...

Everything she has worn this week has been red carpet gold, with her perfect silhouettes and 1940s-esque curls.  Sheer and utter perfection.

Below are some other Ladylike Chic looks from the past few days.  On Thursday, we'll be taking a break from Cannes and indulging in some Oscar de la Renta!
